Accessibility statement

Last updated 18 October 2026

We want everyone who takes part in a poll, or runs one, to be able to use Prefera, including people who use assistive technology.

Our standard

Prefera is designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, the standard set by EN 301 549 and the European Union (Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications of Public Sector Bodies) Regulations 2020 (S.I. 358/2020), which apply to many of our customers.

In particular:

  • Rankings can be reordered with buttons as well as by dragging, so they work with a keyboard, switch or screen reader.
  • Pages work at 400% zoom and on small phone screens.
  • Text and controls meet colour contrast requirements, and colour is never the only way information is shown.
  • Results are written in plain language.

Compliance status

Prefera is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 AA. We have tested it ourselves but have not yet had an independent audit. We will update this statement after one.

Report a problem

If something in Prefera is hard to use, or you need information in another format, email hello@qestra.io. We aim to reply within 5 working days. If you are taking part in a poll and can't submit your choices, also tell the organiser so they can make sure you aren't disadvantaged.

Enforcement

If your poll is run by a public body and you are not satisfied with the response, you can also raise it through that body's own accessibility complaints process.
